Why does Rockview Farms milk taste fresher than other brands?

It tastes fresher because it probably is fresher. We are the last major dairy in Southern California to own our own cows and process and produce our own dairy products. That means, in most cases, the milk we deliver today came from the cow less than 48 hours ago. Our processing and packaging plant operates 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. The seventh day is reserved for routine maintenance and upkeep. Fresh, quality dairy products for our customers is primary objective.

How can you guarantee your milk comes from cows that have not been given rBST (artificial growth hormones)?

Again, because we own our own cows, we know where all our milk comes from and we refuse to use any growth hormones, steroids or other artificial means of increasing milk production. The milk in most other brands comes from a "pooled" milk supply and there is no way to know whether the cows have been given growth hormones or not.

What is organic milk?

Organic milk comes from cows that have been raised on farms and prohibit the use of antibiotics, hormones, chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Not only are the cows themselves "clean" of chemicals, but so is everything they eat and drink. Rockview produces organic milk under the "Good Heart Organics" label.

What is the difference between your "conventional" milk and "organic" milk?

ll of our milk is produced on our family owned and operated farms. We do not use rBST (artificial growth hormones) on ANY of our cows. To help us maintain the high quality of our products, we test each tanker load of milk before it is unloaded at our plant. This method of testing check for all steroids and antibiotics and guarantees the purity of the product before processing.
